Live from Franklin, with Hillary Scott of Lady A

Make It Easy Book Tour

Welcome to stop 5 of the Make It Easy Tour - Franklin, TN.

In Franklin, as I introduced my best friend Hillary Scott to my little stage, I said, “You may know her as a 9-time Grammy Award-winning artist & co-lead vocalist of Lady A, but I know her as my best friend—the one who sits with me on the couch, makeup-free, in top knots, leggings, or the same PJs we’ve worn for 2 days.”

When I couldn’t get home from DC before heading to Dallas for the tour, her guest room was ready for me—a safe space to rest, with my favorite mug next to the coffee pot. Her couch was ready for late-night talks about life & the calling I get to call work. I shared your stories with her—from the mom whose son has been in remission from Crohn’s for 7 years using my SCD recipes, to those with Hashimoto’s finding relief, to the woman who no longer experiences endometriosis pain.

That’s the kind of friend Hillary is. Sharing the stage with her last night, watching her engage with our community (& run around the room with a microphone for the Q&A 😆), was such a sweet, fun experience. Scroll down for some candids from my camera roll of us over the last 9 years (and one from that Hawaii trip Hill talks about during our chat in the video above!).
