Love your cookbooks, Danielle. One day I need to share my story with you on how you helped me cook for my very ill son. It was such a trying time for me. You lifted my spirits and made cooking for him fun. So when I look at your cookbooks, I have most of them, I have such gratitude in my heart. You have no idea.
He is much better, thank you. Gosh, it was 10 years ago that he had a health crisis. He’s 31 now and operates two businesses but he has to pace himself and be careful with his diet. The body can heal but it remembers, and some foods are too risky for some people.
I will send you an email with details.
Thank you for sharing your journey and being a blessing. God bless you!
I am so happy to be here too! I feel like a V.I.P. haha. I looove your ideas. It is too expensive for me to get your cookbooks to Poland tbh and so I am even more grateful for this app.
I love this recipe and so many of your others. I have all your cookbooks and Food Saved Me. It truly inspired me when I was going through the beginning of my journey with my gut.
Thank you so much for sharing all that you are - it gives many of us hope. ❤️
We have many favorites from your books and looking forward to new ones soon!
This looks so good! I am obsessed with the green goddess dressing since you shared it on Instagram and currently have a batch in my fridge. I could eat anything with that on top! I have really enjoyed the seasonal meal plans and can’t wait for your next cookbook. This last quarter I’ve really committed to making as many of the recipes as possible and it’s been so fun to try things that are a bit out of my comfort zone. That community and this substack have inspired me to bring out your cookbooks more too. I think I got a lot of them when I was on AIP and I am discovering lots of new things that I can enjoy now. Last night we loved the pineapple whip for dessert! And I just read your memoir in a week, and absolutely loved it. Your mention above of how you talk about the book you’re reading with Ryan reminds me of how I’ve been telling my husband all about you and your journey as I was reading your book. I have had many similar experiences in my autoimmune journey and it really made me feel less alone and also so inspired to be more creative with my meals and continue to use food as medicine.
I’m hoping to do a weekly meal plan here once a month so I hope you’ll love those too! And of course my new cookbook is all meal prep and menu planning themed so you’ll have so many new recipes to try weekly! 🥰
Dang does this look good! Aren’t we all Green Goddesses in our affinity for cooking good, healthy food? 🤗 Every single recipe preview has been fantastic; can’t wait to try this!
This sounds yummy. Can't wait to try. Quick question on the upcoming cookbook. I currently have over 100 cookbooks (including all of yours😄 ) and am looking to start using the kindle option due to space constraints. You mention QR codes in the new book. Will they also work on the kindle version? I love to read books on my kindle but am really hesitant to use for cooking. Thanks in advance
They should! You’ll have to hover your iPhone the QR code on your kindle to open it. I love cooking from a cookbook so the screen doesn’t turn off or get greasy, but I understand the space concerns!
Loving Substack as I am finding myself on FB and Instagram less and less. This reminds me of 2010 when I used to have a RSS Feed (I think it was called!) for blogs that I used to sit and read more like a magazine. Still trying to work out all the functions but will google the chat function before Tuesday. Looking forward to trying out this salad when spring/summer eventually arrives in England.
I made this for dinner this week because it seemed portable for little league baseball!! It didn't disappoint!! The green goddess dressing is going to go on everything!
I was trying to find a way to send a message or post on a group board but I'm not very familiar with substack.
We recently joined a small group at our new church and they have dinner together every week. Well as a celiac that is very sensitive to cross contamination. I was sad because I wasn't ever going to be able to eat what everyone else was eating. But God... After we joined, I found out that there are 3 other celiacs in a group of 8. There is also a dairy, egg, and onion allergy.
Well it's finally my turn to make dinner and of course I'm scared. 😆 I have every DW cookbook but I'm not sure what crowd pleaser to make for a group this size. I need help!!
The Slow Cooker Sesame Orange Chicken from Against All Grain is always a hit whenever I make it. It’s an easy recipe to double or triple and just toss everything in the crockpot. I am not able to eat rice so I always make cauliflower rice but I also fix rice in the instant pot for those who can eat it. Frozen stir-fry veggies are a great side that can easily be heated up on the stove and I’ve also roasted a couple pans of broccoli before too. 😊
Oh wow Bekah, that is really incredible to find so much support all at once and in such a safe setting! I’m so happy for you. I love this question and I’m sure so many here could answer it for you! I’ll post it now over in the Chat (get the app if you don’t have it) and I’m sure you’ll get so many fun responses!!
If I was cooking for a crowd and needed to transport it - I’d probably either make my lasagna (labor of love but so worth it) or enchiladas using Siete tortillas!

There is nothing like a new cookbook! I "read" through my cookbooks all of the time. Thanks for the response!
Ooh, I love a sneak peek!!!
I’ll be sending out the entire visual index in a few weeks, and an entire sample chapter this summer!
WOW!

I finally made this and oh my goodness! You were not kidding about the dressing. It is so delicious and fresh. Yum!
i zest my lemon the same way you do. I didn't realize it wasn't the right way...lol
It is the “right” way. Most people just don’t know it 😂
