One question, why did you choose almond butter over cashew butter? Or did you even think about cashew butter. I make your peach cobbler all the time and I believe what makes the crust part is the cashew butter. ❤️
I liked the caramel color that the almond butter lent to it, and the slight nuttiness that you normally find in caramel, but cashew butter would make it super thick and creamy. and would totally work as a sub!
This is DELISH! I just finished a double-batch and texted to the hubs a picture as part of his (early) Valentine’s Day. I used an immersion blender and it came out so gorgeous. Love the almond butter in it.

No, it won’t thicken. I have other recipes in my cookbooks using boiled honey.
