High Protein Vanilla Blueberry Smoothie

my 30g protein morning smoothie!

And third, our new recipe of the week! This is my go-to morning smoothie. It’s packed with protein (30g!) and fiber (12g!), and it sustains me until I’m able to have a small, late lunch.

Blueberry Vanilla Protein Smoothie (30g protein, 12g fiber)

If I’ve got a high-intensity workout in the morning, whether it’s boot camp, a long Peloton ride, or a stacked strength session, this smoothie is my go-to. It’s packed with protein (30g!), has 12g fiber, and has enough calories to keep me full until a late lunch. I usually make it around 10am, after school drop-off, checking emails, my workout, and getting the house back in order from the morning chaos. It blends up in under 5 minutes and keeps me going strong until a late lunch. Plus, it’s a sneaky way to get in greens, healthy fats, and a bit of fruit without spiking my blood sugar.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 ½ cups water

  • 5 ice cubes

  • 1 scoop vanilla bone broth protein powder (13g protein | 0g fiber)

  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened almond butter (3.5g protein | 1.5g fiber)

  • 2 tablespoons ground chia and flaxseed blend (4g protein | 5g fiber)

  • ¼ cup fresh-squeezed lemon juice

  • 2 tablespoons hulled hemp hearts (6.5g protein | 1g fiber)

  • ½ cup frozen chopped spinach (2g protein | 2g fiber)

  • ¼ cup frozen wild blueberries (0.25g protein | 2g fiber)

METHOD

Add everything to a high-speed blender and blend on high until completely smooth and creamy. If it’s too thick, add another splash of water. Drink immediately, or pour into an insulated tumbler to take on the go.

Nutritional Information

Total: 463 calories, ~30g protein, ~12g fiber
