So much to fill you in on today!
First- in case you missed the announcement - Tuesdays with Danielle is BACK! Join me the first Tuesday of every month at 2pm PT/ 5pm ET! Most of the time I’ll do a live cooking demo and take your questions, sometimes we’ll just chat, other times I’ll show you a grocery haul. But, count on me being there each month without fail! Tune in to the replay of Tuesday’s episode if you missed it HERE.
Second - Look mom, I’m on Hulu! Remember 8 years ago when I was on Netflix? This time, I had the pleasure of being a guest on my friend Sabrina’s new show - The Sabrina Soto Show. We made two recipes, chatted about elimination diets and how healing they can be for autoimmune diseases, and a few hacks for your kitchen. See more below for how to tune in!
Third - Ever wonder how to prepare artichokes? Watch my tutorial HERE!
And fourth, our new recipe of the week! This is my go-to morning smoothie. It’s packed with protein (30g!) and fiber (12g!), and it sustains me until I’m able to have a small, late lunch.
Xo

I’m on Hulu!
I loved getting to be a guest on my friend Sabrina Soto’s new show on Hulu!
This story was slightly shortened for the segment—but what wasn’t included has stayed with me all these years. The mom who approached my table that day had been bedridden for months leading up to that book signing. I remember watching her walk toward me and instantly seeing myself in her: frail, chronically ill, with the familiar pale complexion and dark circles I knew all too well from ulcerative colitis flare-ups.
She told me she was finally healing. It was her first time out of bed in months. Not only had she found the strength to bake those cookies with her daughters, but she’d been able to sit at the counter and enjoy them together—because the ingredients didn’t hurt her body. They were part of her healing.
We both wept. I reached across the table, took her hands in mine, and we stayed like that for a long moment before I signed her book and took photos with her and her two little girls.
That was ten years ago. I think of them often and so wish I could hear how they’re doing now.
If you have Hulu, tune in to episode 3 of The Sabrina Soto show today! I’m showing Sabrina how to make my grain-free chocolate chip cookies and my beloved Burnt Broccoli Seasoning. :)
Blueberry Vanilla Protein Smoothie (30g protein, 12g fiber)
Servings 1
If I’ve got a high-intensity workout in the morning—whether it’s boot camp, a long Peloton ride, or a stacked strength session—this smoothie is my go-to. It’s packed with protein (30g!), has 12g fiber, and has enough calories to keep me full until a late lunch. I usually make it around 10am, after school drop-off, checking emails, my workout, and getting the house back in order from the morning chaos. It blends up in under 5 minutes and keeps me going strong until a late lunch. Plus, it’s a sneaky way to get in greens, healthy fats, and a bit of fruit without spiking my blood sugar.
Ps I’m obsessed with my mini blender. Linked below!
